Botox is a well established, FDA-approved treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of frown lines, crow’s-feet, and forehead lines in adults.
The lines that appear on your forehead or around your eyes when you furrow your brow, squint, or smile are caused by tiny muscle contractions. After some time, the lines may remain even when you aren’t making that facial expression.
Botox smooths these lines by temporarily deactivating the muscles responsible for them. Dr. Ayo expertly injects the Botox medicine so your face looks natural, but with less noticeable lines.
Botox injections usually take less than 15 minutes and don’t require downtime for recovery. You can go right back to work or normal activities immediately after your appointment.
You may feel a little pinch when Dr. Ayo injects the medicine, but she can numb the area beforehand if you’re concerned about discomfort.
Results may appear as quickly as 24-48 hours after your treatment. Botox generally lasts about four months for moderate to severe frown lines.
Dr. Ayo proudly offers nonsurgical skin rejuvenation with Fractora by InMode. Fractora uses radio-frequency energy to improve many skin concerns, including:
Fractora delivers gentle heat energy into the deep layers of your skin through an array of microscopic pins. The heat promotes collagen growth, which improves the tightness, elasticity, and youthful appearance of your skin.
During your initial consultation, Dr. Ayo discusses your particular concerns and aesthetic goals. If you decide Fractora is right for you, she may recommend you arrange to have someone else drive you home on the day of treatment.
To reduce anxiety and potential discomfort, Dr. Ayo may prescribe a mild sedative for you to take before the procedure. She also numbs your skin with a topical anesthetic cream. The treatment itself takes only 15-20 minutes, but you should plan to be there for about two hours to allow for preparations.
Afterward, you should go home and relax. Dr. Ayo provides you with detailed instructions on how to care for your skin after Fractora. You should begin to notice firmer, younger looking skin within about two weeks after treatment.
